Where to start?

It's been awhile. Not really on purpose, but shit happens when you drop your laptop.
Well, it was more like a slide down my leg and a thump to the floor, but it was enough to break it so we had to buy a new one. Ugh. I'm still trying to recover from that one. My pictures are still sitting on the computer which is driving me nuts.
BUT I am up and running with a new laptop. Yay.
So blogging: back to it!

Is there a logical place to recap the last few weeks (months?).
Of course: Mason.
He's awesome of course (he comes by that naturally). He started swimming lessons 2 weeks ago. We've done several classes with him in the past and take him swimming often. This time he's on his own. Anyone who follows me on Facebook knows how well the last two weeks have gone, if you consider crying your eyes out a good thing. Ugh. He breaks my heart. It's the last thing I expected. In all honestly, the last lesson was much better then the first. Still tears, but not as many, and his actual instructor was there (she was away the first week) . She was the perfect combo of sensitive, caring and not letting him stand there and do nothing. He did some jumps and blew some bubbles in the water. Once he is comfortable, I think she'll be impressed at what he is willing/can do in the water!
He's somewhat registered for kindergarten. Long story, but I want him to attend the school I teach at...so we're just waiting for the "okay" on the flex boundaries. He's growing so fast!
We are toying with moving. We found a house in our neighbourhood that we love..now it's just deciding if we want to make it work and if we can afford it withough being house poor! Houses move so fast in this neighbourhood so we'll see what happens. The good thing is that there is no sign on the lawn so that should slow some traffic down. There are a few families around here that I know of who are looking to upsize but want to stay in this neighbourhood...so hopefully they don't know about this house yet!! That said, we won't be heartbroken if it doesn't work out.

To end it I'll share a conversation Mason and I had yesterday:

Mason: Mommy how was your day? (It was only mid morning).
Me: It's going great, how is your day going?
Mason: It's going a bit slow actually.
Me: Really? What would make it better?
Mason: Spungled eggs. (scrambled eggs).

So..we made spungled eggs :)
