Everyday I'm Shuffling

It's be awhile.
School was out as of June 30th. Thank you Glorious God for that. What a year. My nerves and my liver have survived the last 10 months. Time to replenish the soul...and the wine cabinet.

We headed up to the cottage for awhile to celebrate Canada Day and then hit VBS "PandaMania" with our good friends K and her daughter. So much fun. Yesterday we spent the day at the beach.

Mason started preschool 2 days a week in May to get ready for JK in September. I probably should have started that earlier, but he's so happy with his babysitter. He's adjusting. It's gotten better but there were a few days that I left crying too. Now that it's summer vacation I get 2 days a week to do things for myself which is realllly nice. I only drop him for a couple hours though. He likes the shorter days much better! It's so sweet to hear him talk about friends and teachers, and what he does. I love the little songs that he comes home singing.

My house is stilllll torn apart from Mr. Sass putting in the hardwood floors. It's been trying, but he works fulltime and I've been keeping him busy on weekends, so perhaps I am to blame! I'm in the "it needs to get done NOW" mode, so I'm trying to do what I can to make it easier for him to get it done. I want my house back. I don't want anyone over because things are everywhere. For awhile (before these floors were torn up)our family room looked like a scene from Hoarders. It's was strangely comforting though....oh oh. I say that, but I've also been in a PURGE mode. I think it's because I feel so out of control with the renos that I need control other places. Maybe I can be the next Dr. Phil with that insight!

Before I post a picture or two, I'll share what Mason said yesterday.
We were in line for ice cream with about a thousand other people. I was standing under an airconditioner when something started dripping on me. I turned to friends and said "something is dripping on me" Mason yells out "Maybe it's your nipples!"
It was hard not laugh...and keep laughing.
For the record, my nipples were not dripping, no would they have reason to.

Mason at the cottage:

Running through the trees, watching fireworks for the first time and on the lake.
