This will sound kind of quirky, I'm sure, but I like necks. I don't have a neck fetish, but I do find them kind of sensual. Man or woman. If I want to breathe you in, if I want to smell your sent, I'm going for your neck. Maybe it's because you can't physically see me while I commit your smell to memory, or how I close my eyes to remember that moment each and every time we are together. There is this sweet spot, right in the crevice where the neck meets the shoulder. Kiss me there and I am putty in your hands. My lips fit perfectly in that spot when I kiss you there. If I can feel your breath on me, it gives me goosebumps and makes my toes tingle. Trace a finger along the lines of my neck and I'll melt against you.
Beyond the sexual nature of my thoughts on 'the neck,' perhaps it could also represent that I'm willing to stick my neck out for a friend, or to get what I want. Just like a turtle, progress is only made when the neck is stuck out. I could also say, this is the very neck that many people (mainly university roommates and a'hellava' good friend) want to strangle when I get up to my usual antics and tomfoolery (ask them about limericks, bad jokes and karaoke). All in good fun of course.
Whatever way you want to look at it, it's my neck. It's a clean one at that. Just out of the shower clean! On that note: Happy Half "Neck"ed Thursday!
