Showers, babies and endless yapping...

Again - I find that I have nothing interesting to say.

I think I'm still tired from the weekend. The bridal shower was a great success despite the rain and the intention to hold it outside. We fit nicely inside and people weren't bothered. However, it seems that Mr. Sass had volunteered us to take our friends 2 kids for the weekend. It only proved that he doesn't listen to a word I say unless he hears key words like "sex" or "steak." So he had the kids from Friday night until about 6:30 Saturday evening.
They are still alive.
They were happy and well cared for. I wasn't worried, but it's always nice to joke at the situation. Mind you there was no rest for me when I got home. I took over so poor Mr. Sass could sleep.
It's amazing how much you can get done before 9 am.
It's also amazing how fascinating a tower of cd's or a bookshelf full of books is so appealing to a newly crawling 10 month old.
Even more amazing is how an almost 7 year old can fill every waking minute with talking. If we didn't love him so much and enjoy the (endless) banter I would have duct taped his mouth by hour 2.
So that's my weekend in a nutshell.

My wife and I (and our friends with kids too) joke that the reason kids are so cute is so one wont be compelled to kill them. SO every time someone says "oh she is so cute." My response is "That's what keeps her alive."

Parents get it.
