Today is Groundhog Day...yipee..not. There are very few books to read to children about Groundhog Day, but a few favourites stand out. This is my favourite one to read...although it's title and author have slipped me. Needless to say it was a popular choice among staff members due to the illustrations. Notice the groundhog's burrow...phallic symbol or not? Maybe we are just pigs, but the story was way more interesting after we discovered his home. Maybe he was re-decorated by the lads from Queer Eye?

Oh, I'm sure if you go to Craig's List or the Canadian equivalent you can find one just as charming as our Chris. Or at least as charming as that groundhog there.
@Abhilash Groundhog day is sham! Basically we wait for a designated groundhog to pop out of a hole, if it sees its shadow, legend says we are suppose to get 6 more weeks of winter and if it doesn't see its shadow we will get an early spring. Either way I think it works out to 6 weeks...but we love the darn holiday!
