Holy Crap! I didn't register that it was HNT today! Shame on me! Thank you to
Exile who pointed out that I'd forgotten....and to insist that since I missed it I should partake in a "Full Frontal Friday"..lovely, but I think I'll pass on this one this week. I'm suffering from swoobs right now (sweaty boobs folks). I totally crashed early last night and slept right until my alarm. Today I've been walking around in a daze though. Maybe I got too much sleep? I swear I will get back into the routine of this soon. It just takes me a few days to have my soul sucked from me and re-learn how to cope. I promise to do better from now on. If not, I am willing to be spanked repeatedly..hard.

On a side note, since it seems to be a topic of discussion around the kids, I'll say my piece on the death of Steve Irwin (The Crocodile Hunter). It really is sad and ironic at the same time. How this man could, for so long, interact with some of the most vicious and poisonous creatures of the world, and not get hurt is beyond me. Yet, while swimming near a sting ray (whose sting is not usually fatal, just friggen painful) gets stung and dies instantly. Blows my mind. I know people have different views on him, but really, he loved all animals and critters alike and did great things to educate people about them. He was an environmentalist and tried to do good for the animal kingdom. He could have kept his millions but gave a lot of it back into programs for research and education. Not everyone liked him, and not everyone agreed with some of the things he did. Not everyone is perfect. What saddens me is that he has left behind 2 small children. It breaks my heart because I have an idea of what his daughter is feeling. I was the same age when my dad passed on. That's the real heartbreaker. Sure he did great things for animals, but he was doing greater things by raising his kids, and he wasn't done with that job yet. My prayers are with his family.
Also, you can rest assure that I won't be snorkeling again any time soon!
