P is for Peacock - scare the shit out of me.

Last night I was at the barn riding. We can now add one more kitten to the barn cat family. I was heading outside with trusty horse in tow. I came around the corner and was met face to face with a peacock. Have you heard these things screech?! It fanned out its feathers and screamed.

I shit a kitten.

Peel me off the roof folks. I am so lucky the horse didn't bolt or rear up. I had to laugh though. Wish I could have seen the look on my face. I had no idea there were peacocks roaming around these parts. Now I know. That will hopefully be the last kitten I contribute for awhile.

hella - yup very baby turkey like..gawd, those are the ugliest things ever. Who says god doesn't have a sense of humour?

mackey - yup! Right there on the barn floor. hehe

kari - Been riding since I was a wee one, but took a break from it for a couple years for some stupid reason...now am back in the saddle again!

exile - I ride em long and hard. and It wasn't so much the look on the kittens face when it rolled out as the instant need it had to suckle me.

Randi - yeh, not a huge fan of birds, especially now. Stupid evil peacock.

outlaw torn - sure did, it's not everyday you meet an angry peacock face to face. It actually came into the ring about 30 min later and apparently it never comes there...I'm convinced it has it in for me. It wants me dead.

Hippychic - once it dried off it was a purdy orange and brown calico type kitty. I need to think of a name for him now.
