Girls Gone Wild!

I survived the girls weekend. Was there ever a doubt? We had a blast, despite the pouring rain on Saturday. It seemed like everytime we made it down to the dock, drinks, stereo, towels, etc..all laid out nicely...it would start again. At some point we took the 'ahh eff it' stance and just played in the rain. We did however have a few incidents. One being a larger-then-life dock spider. I am normally not scared of spiders, but this one was HUGE and we were trapped in a small paddle boat with it (I can't say we were in the most stable of mindsets either..damn tequila!). It was vindictive too! I shooed it away and it came at me hissing. Okay...so you couldn't really hear the hissing but I'm sure it was! It was the size of a plumb with 8 hairy legs. One of the girls swam over to help us. She picked it up by the leg and tossed it. You could hear the splash as it hit the lake water! No joke.

Mother Nature decided to join the party on Sunday and bless us with some sun. Hella and I were out on the dock for a little too long I think. Our poor pasty Irish/Scottish skin is now blazin red! We look like lobsters! Ouch! I don't usually burn like this! Anyone know anything to sooth my skin?!

We were also a part of a bloody miracle if you ask me. If you knew the copious amounts of alcohol that were consumed, you'd have a better feeling as to why this is a miracle. Not one of us had a hangover, no headaches, no sore tummies, no puking (lovely thought I know). Praise Jesus! It's not very often a bunch of us gals can get together like this, so we went a little wild. Watch for the video "Girls Gone Wild: Sassy and Friends Take on the Kawartha Lakes."

All in all, a wild time. I'm sure I'll share more at some point, but right now I feel like like a Bangkok hooker on a Sunday morning after the Navy has left town.

I need some sleep.

as far as the burn you can (in order of effectiveness...)

1. put some aloe for the burn

2. use some sunscreen (you put it on the sun burn and it leaches out the uv, i'm not being sarcastic.

3. lube your selves up with lotion.

but no matter what you do, don't rub eachother with all this stuff with out taking pictures. it, uh, helps with the, um, regeneration of cells.

(oh god, please let this work...)

holy shit that spider is giving me the creeps and I don't even see it. If it looked anything like the one I found in my basement, and I'm thinking it does, then I feel for you! What woman had the balls to pick it up? I would rather have died...

Glad you had fun, sounds like a BLAST!!!

oh and for the burn - ALOE, that's the best you can do, It takes the sting out and feels good drying.

exile - Thanks! I went and got some Aloe last night...but I have no one to rub it on me now that I'm no longer talking to Hella for those pics she posted! Any suggestions? :P

Maybe I'll just have to rub myself and take pics.

Everyone beat me to the Aloe tip. It's all about MOISTURE.

Hmmm plenty of moisture here! I wonder why that's not helping?

I'll stick to the aloe.

It smells better.

randi- you can take turns with the "aloe tip" i mean, if it means you'll get that moisture you've been looking forward to

sassy- i say role around in a tub full of it, "Old School" style

As a fair skinned red head, I bypass tanning and just sort of... burst into flames. A friend once told me when I lobsterite myself, to refrigerate the aloe first, then put it on.

So I tried it.

I flattened his tires the next day.

Sounds like it was fun. I never get hangovers, even though I deserve them. It's my super-power that all my friends envy. I'm not pregnant by the way.
