It's the end of the world as we know it...and I feel fine!

There has been a lot of hype around today's date because it's the number of evil/satan (666). I was asked if our school was doing anything significant (it being a Catholic school) like locking ourselves in our rooms and praying. Alas, we are not that cool, and I don't think anyone really cared too much. No one really said anything as a matter of fact. I personally was waiting for some giant catastrophe to happen, not the end of the world or anything, but something to make my day bad! As corny as it sounds, I was watching my step. Maybe all the bad experiences in the last couple of days was payment enough. Perhaps I got a sneak peek form satan himself since I'm sure he has come to terms with the fact that I will one day be taking over.

I was even surprised that none of the little devils in my class said anything about the date. It would have been a perfect excuse to misbehave! I'm serious when I say that you can tell it's a full moon by their behaviour, so I was expecting something (anything!) from them...but no they were good as gold! I over heard one group of kids talking while walking my dog though. They were looking for another friend who is usually out playing with them. Apparently, his mom thought it was going to be the end of the world so she was keeping the whole family in so they were together. To each their own. I think I'm going to end the day with a cold drink and putting my feet up, cuz if this is the end, I'm taking my Guinness with me! Now if I could only get this Great Big Sea song out of my head....
