Happy Easter

I always love family dinner. It's interesting to see who takes the conversation across the line first. It's usually me. I wonder though if other people have civilized dinners and sophisticated conversation. Not that we are barbarians and can't hold an intelligent conversation, but it seems to be far more fun to be crass and raz each other. The odd flying roll at a brother isn't so bad either. After dinner, I find that my stomach hurts, not from over-indulging on my mother's cooking (even though her cooking is a rarity!), but from laughing. It's a shame that we don't get together more often. Now that we are older and are busy, it seems that I have less time to spend with my brothers. Don't ever tell them I said it, but they are kinda cool. I look up to both my older and younger brother (but to be honest I look up to the younger one because he is like 6'4"). It's weird that I spent the better part of my childhood beating them up (alright, alright they beat me up more often...) and avoiding them, and now I look forward to seeing them, even if they could use a shower more frequently (I kid). I guess I can go back to partaking in some chocolate now that Lent is over? Whatever way people celebrate Easter, I hope it was a good one!

Family dinners with my side of the family usually aren't too bad. But with my husband's crackhead redneck family, that's a different story.......

Sound like you had a really nice Easter with the people that you love. That's always the best. I have an older and younger bro too and I look forward to seeing them more now that I'm older too. Isn't it funny how important and special family becomes as we get older and wiser ;O)
