Is this normal? Probably not.

I have a little confession to make. Not many people know this about me, and I think I should just own up to my little quirk. You see, I have this 'thing' with being on the outside of something. It freaks me out in some way. I won't scream and run, but I am very uncomfortable. I won't say anything either, because I don't want people to think I'm a freak or go out of their way to accommodate me....I can cope. I hate being on the aisle seat in theatres/stadiums/churches, I don't like to sit on the edge at a table (I prefer the inside corner thank you!) and if there is a group of people, I would like to be somewhere in the middle. I can sleep more soundly if I'm on the side of the bed that is further away from the door. I like the 'feeling' of being tucked away somewhere, not exposed. I've given this a lot of thought (unfortunately) and I wonder why I do this? Do I secretly think that this will save me if some axe murderer bursts in, and if so, does this make me an evil friend for putting others on the 'outside?' If you know me, it doesn't make a lot of sense, because I like to be in the thick of things. I am no stranger to being the centre of attention either. I am quite comfortable with being in front of people too, so why this need to be on the inside and not 'exposed?' Am I nuts? I know people who are scared to touch cotton balls. To me THAT is slightly nuts. There I said it. That is my quirk....one of them.

Lisa Lisa Lisa..this is exactly why you and I are sooooo alike. I hate being the one closest to the door or outside of the bed....to the point that when Will sleeps in my bed..(yess I am ashamed to admit) I make him take the outside spot on the bed!!! LOL does that make me bad???? Probably..da well :)

I like to sleep furthest away from the door. I laughed at the reference to the cotton balls though...my hubby HATES cotton. Will NOT toucj it & hates to see others touch it. If yu rub it between your fingers he just trembles...apparently he says it makes a horrible noise.????

My quirk is the EXACT OPPOSITE!! I'd rather be on the outside of things, usually. Except on airplanes, I wanna be by the window.

It's not abnormal, I don't think.

I have strategies for how I eat every single piece of food that goes into my mouth. It's sick- SICK I tell you! But your quirk is fine!
